“A Student Above” by Jersey Mike’s is designed to give back to high school coaches and student-athletes.
By enrolling in the program, schools are sent student-recognition coupons, coach discount cards/coupons, and the opportunity to win thousands of dollars in scholarships and grants.

After enrolling your school into the program, you will receive two shipments outlined below in the Fall & Spring - full of benefits for your students and staff to enjoy.
Here’s how a year of partnership together looks:
Above & Beyond
Coaches will be given 30 Student Athlete Award Certificates & 30 free sub coupons for each winner.
Coaches Club
Athletic Directors receive 100 BOGO Sub Coupons, 12 Discount Cards, and a VIP coaches club key fob.
Naismith Courage award
Share your nomination of a brave student for a chance to win $1,000 for your school & winning athlete.
School Spirit
Schools get 25 BOGO sub coupons to encourage student creativity at Pep Rallies and games.
Program FAQ’s

Your school will receive one shipment per semester containing student-recognition certificates, sub coupons, discount cards, and coaches’ key fobs and more to reward your students and staff.
The goal of all support is to rally student pride, equip coaches, and give back to schools.

The top 10 schools using #AStudentAbove with the most creative school spirit on social media will receive a $500 grant donation to their school!
Post as often as you can as every entry will count. Empower your students to get creative.

Certificates are meant to be awarded by coaches to two student-athletes each week who have gone “Above and Beyond” in school and sports.

For a chance to win the “Jersey Mike’s Naismith Courage Award”, share the story of your deserving basketball player at astudentabove.com (during the eligible window).
The grand prize-winning boy and girl will each receive a $1,000 check donation to your school’s basketball program & $1,000 awarded to the winning student-athlete.

Use the form below to find out if your school has qualified to receive free support and our team will follow up confirming your eligibility. Eligibility is based on proximity to local Jersey Mike’s Subs, the order of schools confirmed based on proximity, type of school (high school, middle school, etc.) to ensure the partnership is able to best be utilized and spread generosity across the nation.
